Jorge Nuñez Alba
Jorge Núñez Alba is a chemical engineer specialized in technology management with an active interest in peace, global citizenship and responsible diffusion of environmental risks to society.
He is founder and general coordinator of an NGO named ECO-PEACE NETWORK MEXICO, which is a civil organization that has the mission of historic diffusion of the ethical aspects about nuclear and conventional weapons development and its utilization against humanity. This public diffusion seeks a consciousness approach from society towards a pacifist culture, supported on the legacy of outstanding international pacifists. Mr. Nuñez has conducted four peace missions (1995, 2000, 2005 and 2009) to Hiroshima & Nagasaki in coordination with Global Community Center of Hiroshima YMCA and many events and actions to disseminate Hiroshima-Nagasaki legacy.
The philosophy is to maintain a continuing effort to educate our young women and men through personal testimony around significant historical landmarks, guiding them to an ethical world citizenship with a common vision of transcendence and human values to share with the human family.
