Lisa Pelletti Clark
Lisa Pelletti Clark, a professional interpreter, has been active in Peace and Disarmament movements and NGOs in Italy for many years. Lisa lived in Sarajevo during the Bosnian war in the 1990s, promoting civil society and solidarity networks within the city and across the frontlines. Lisa has served as election and human rights observer in Palestine, Albania and Chiapas, and was the coordinator of the civil society election monitoring mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2006. Lisa is Vice-President of the Italian peace and disarmament NGO 'Beati i costruttori di pace' which she represents on the Steering Committees of several Italian networks, from Tavola della Pace to the Italian Disarmament Network. In 2007-2008 she coordinated the Italian campaign 'For a Future Without Nuclear Weapons' which submitted draft legislation to the Italian Parliament aimed at declaring Italy a nuclear-weapon-free State. She is a member of Abolition 2000’s Global Council and PNND coordinator for Italy.
