Meit Krakau is a physician. She was born in 1943 and qualified as a doctor in 1971, with a specialisation in geriatrics. Meit retired in 2008 but still returns to work as a doctor periodically. Meit has been active in grass roots work for nuclear disarmament as a board member of IPPNW-Sweden (SLMK) for around 15 years, mainly in the capacity of secretary.
