Association Française des Communes Départements et Régions pour la Paix (AFCDRP)

 

Created in 1997, AFCDR represents the French network of Mayors for Peace.

 International organisations:

 

Abolition 2000

Abolition 2000 is an international network of 2000 organisations working towards a global treaty to eliminate nuclear weapons.

 

Ban All Nukes generation

Website of the European Youth Network for Disarmament, offering young people a space to exchange ideas and develop their own strategies for achieving peace in Europe and beyond.

 

International Association of Peace Messenger Cities

The International Association of Peace Messenger Cities was established to recognize and encourage the role and responsibility of cities in creating a culture of peace.

 

International Network of Engineers and Scientists Against Proliferation (INESAP)

INESAP's central objective is to promote non-proliferation and disarmament of all kinds of weapons of mass destruction and relevant delivery systems.

 

International Peace Bureau (IPB)

Dedicated to the vision of a World Without War.  Of particular interest is their Disarmament for Development campaign.

 

International Physicans for Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW)

A non-partisan federation of national medical organizations in 63 countries, representing thousands of doctors, medical students, health workers, and concerned citizens who are united behind the goal of creating a more peaceful and secure world freed from the threat of nuclear annihilation.

 

 

Lawyers Committee on Nuclear Policy (LCNP)

A national nonprofit educational association that uses national and international law to promote peace and disarmament.  LCNP has been a vital link between policy makers, legal scholars and activists.

 

Nuclear Age Peace Foundation

Initiates and supports worldwide efforts to abolish nuclear weapons, to strengthen international law and institutions, and to inspire and empower a new generation of peace leaders.

 

Parliamentary Network for Nuclear Disarmament (PNND)

Global network of over 700 parliamentarians from more than 75 countries working to prevent nuclear proliferation and achieve nuclear disarmament.

 

Reaching Critical Will

A project of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Reaching Critical Will strives for the abolition of nuclear weapons, while also advocating total and universal disarmament, the reduction of global military spending, and demilitarisation of politics and society.

Italian Coordination of Local Authorities for Peace and Human Rights

This association of Italian Local Authorities (municipalities, provinces and regions) was founded in 1986 and has over 700 members.

 

Nuclear Free Local Authorities

UK-based association of local councils which tackles in practical ways, and within their powers, the problems posed by civil and military nuclear hazards.

Bilingual English-Japanese website with local and international news, special coverage of issues involving nuclear disarmament and proliferation, commentaries by prominent figures in the field, and an archive of content related to the world's first atomic bombing.
