How To Be a 2020 Vision Campaigner
Thank you for your interest in advancing the 2020 Vision Campaign!Mayors can only do so much without the active support of civil society. Some mayors who have strong personal feelings about nuclear weapons have not considered speaking out because they think their citizens will think it 'inappropriate' for a city mayor to make pronouncements on national security matters. You can assure your mayor that his/her voice is wanted and needed to point our national governments in the right direction.
How civil society can get involved in the 2020 Vision Campaign:
For the success of the 2020 Vision campaign, Mr. Akiba Tadatoshi, the Mayor of Hiroshima, is encouraging all of the members of Mayors for Peace to work with local activists as well as for local activists to work together with their mayors.
