Abolition 2000 is an international global network working for a treaty to eliminate nuclear weapons within a time-bound framework. It is open to all organizations endorsing the Abolition 2000 Statement. The Network aims at providing groups concerned with nuclear issues a forum for the exchange of information and the development of joint initiatives.

The International Association of Peace Messenger Cities was established in 1988 in Verdun (France) to recognize and encourage the role and responsibility cities have in creating a culture of peace. The organization was born out of United Nations General Assembly designation as Peace Messengers. It firmly believes that municipal authorities have profound responsibility to assume an active, creative role in establishing a Culture of Peace within their borders.

The Nuclear Free Local Authorities (NFLAs) was set up in 1980 at the height of the Cold War. Member councils have grown in number since then and the expertise of the the NFLA Team has increased with the experience of the last two decades. The NFLA is active in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom created the RCW project in 1999, in order to increase the quality and quantity of civil society at international disarmament fora, such as those that take place at the UN.
